Configuring the EF2800

2. Call technical support for information about downloading the
firmware updates.
3. From the computer connected to the SM module, access the DOS
window.
4. At the DOS prompt change to the directory where you downloaded
the.bfl file.
5. Enter: ftp [SM module’s IP address]
6. At the User prompt enter: flash
7. At the Password prompt enter: flash
8. At the FTP prompt enter: bin
9. At the FTP prompt enter: put [.bfl file name] flash
If you are using Windows 95 or 98, you will see a timeout message
(Connection closed by remote host), but the ftp process is
continuing. You can ignore the timeout message. Wait a few
minutes and check the firmware version.
If you are using another operating systems, you will see the
downloading progress displayed on the screen.
10. When you see the restarting message, wait 60 seconds.
11. Check the version of LAN firmware you have now to make sure the
firmware update worked by pressing <CTRL>-<E> until the
configuration information screen with that information displays.
12. Repeat steps 3 through 11 above on the other SM module.
